Who can join cultureID?
Artists, institutions, arts organizations, and non-profits are invited to become members.

How Do I Create My Profile?
Profiles are publicly available, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to share information about your work.

After you sign  you sign in to cultureID, a link named ‘My account‘ appears at the top of the menu in the rightmost column, this will take you to your profile, where you may add or edit current information. To do this, use the ‘edit’ link at the top of the profile page.

The profile is organized into four simple modules, select the tab to go to a specific section:

1. Account includes, your username, a password modification area, an upload tool for creating or changing your avatar (user picture), and a space to create a signature, which will appear on all posts.
2. Basic Info includes First and Last names, your Field of work (i.e. artist, film maker, writer, musician), position, membership type (individual or institution).  There are also spaces for you to share your Twitter and Facebook accounts and your personal website url.
3. Favorite Websites allows you to share sites you find particularly interesting.
4. Your Profile includes a section where you can share current projects and add a statement about your work.

For full utilization of the site, please fill out the a minimum of the Basic Info and Your Profile sections.

Can I change my profile image?
Of course! Go to you arccount and select 'Account,' then scroll down and delete the current image.  You may then upload your new image. Please be sure to resize your image before attempting to upload.

How do I create a gallery?
Log in and go to your account page. Select the tab that says ‘your name’s galleries.’ Enter a name for your gallery, preview and save.  You will immediately be taken to your gallery.

Along the top are tabs to different utilities where you can upload, manage and sort your images.

Is my profile page public?
Yes, your profile is publicly. This creates an excellent reference page on the web for others to learn about your background and projects.  We hope you'll use it either as a personal gallery page, or as an additional resource to enhance your online presence.

Who can submit blogs to cultureID?
Only members can submit blog entries.  Submissions are curated. While some are promoted to the front page, a list of every new piece that has been written appears on the right hand side of the home page.  The list is constantly refreshed.

How do I invite people to join cultureID?
Simple! Just tell them to join on the home page. (Yes, it’s free) 

How do I connect with other members of the site?
Have you just completed a documentary about homelessness and want to connect with a nonprofit that is focused on this issue? Would you like your organization to do a panel at that gallery having an exhibit about women’s reproductive rights? Perhaps you just want to dialogue with another member who is passionate about ecology.  cultureID members can create relationships with other members by using onsite e-mail to contact.  Your request must be approved by the receiving member.  Acceptance denotes a reciprocal relationship.

Who owns the content on cultureID?
Each member owns all user-generated content, which includes what they post in their profile, their galleries, and their blog posts and comments.

Who Should I contact if I have a tech question or am having trouble uploading content?
Please send us an e-mail at info@cultureid.com.  Put “Tech Question” in the subject line. Include your question or problem, e-mail, and phone number.  We will try to respond to you as quickly as possible.
