about cultureID

cultureId is a website and social networking community for cultural workers whose work is focused on progressive political and social issues. Currently in the final stages of development, cultureID’s multifaceted mission is to broadly dessiminate information on socially important projects within the artistic/creative community, to offer a base for communication and collaboration between artists of varying media/geographic areas, and to broaden awareness and accessibility to vitally important issues of the 21st century.

cultureID allows you to create your own profile, upload samples of your work, create forums, and connect with other users around the world. Additionally, we offer blogs, community-led actions and exhibits, and a diverse set of online tools, including job-postings, opportunities, instant messaging and an announcement calendar. Each month a new portfolio will be showcased and linked to from the home page.

culturalID’s mission is to enable the creation of a tapestry of intricately nuanced perspectives toward current issues - from global warming and world peace to identity politics and social discourse - and to increase public awareness of the writers, artists, and curators and their work.
