Mourning Light

Watching the demonstrations in Iran on CNN. My facial response to the violence is illuminated by lights syncopated with the gunshots, screams and voices in the background. Flashes of lights blinking on and off  was a wrenching reminder of emergency vehicles, bullets and a crown of thorns. My personal response viewing demonstrations and the desperate living conditions of those who are collateral damage in the conflicts being fought throughout the world. The demonstrators' chants and bursts of gunfire often dominate the sound track.
